Gregg Allman

Biography

Gregg Allman was a Southern rock pioneer and musician known for his soulful voice and work with the Allman Brothers Band. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, he formed the band in 1969 with brother Duane, achieving mainstream success with their live album At Fillmore East before Duane's tragic death. Allman went on to have a successful solo career, releasing seven studio albums and collaborating with notable artists, including Cher.
