Stanislav Chekan

Biography

Stanislav Chekan was born on June 2, 1922, in Rostov-on-Don, where he began his artistic journey after being sent to a labor colony at 15. He studied under Yuri Zavadsky from 1938 to 1941 before joining the Odessa Theater of the Soviet Army in 1945 and later becoming an actor with the Central Academic Theater in Moscow from 1948 to 1956, followed by the National Film Actors' Theatre until 1993.
