Emmanuil Geller was a Soviet actor of theater and cinema, earning the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR in 1974. Born Emmanuil Savelyevich Geleller on August 9, 1898, in Ekaterynoslav, he began his career as an artillery soldier before enrolling in the State Theater Technical School. Geller gained recognition for roles such as a ruthless moneylender and a kind-hearted naval officer, showcasing his versatility in both dramatic and poetic films.
