Lidiya Smirnova was a Soviet and Russian stage and film actress known for her versatile roles in films such as "Welcome, or No Trespassing" (1964), where she played the role of a doctor, and "Ilf and Petrov Rode a Tram" (1972), where she portrayed a circus handler. Awarded People's Artist of the USSR in 1974, Smirnova was also a devoted member of the Communist Party from 1952 until its dissolution. Her notable film career spanned over several decades.
