Biography

Stefaniya Stanyuta was a Belarusian stage and film actress born on April 30, 1905, in Minsk to a family of artists. She studied at the Belarusan Drama Studio under Moscow Art Theatre before joining the Janka Kupala National Academic Theatre in Minsk in 1932, where she worked until her death. Awarded the People's Artist of the USSR title in 1988, Stanyuta appeared in over 200 roles, including films from 1958 onward.
