Paul Franklin Watson is a Canadian-American environmental activist and founder of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and Captain Paul Watson Foundation, dedicated to anti-poaching and marine conservation activism. Born on December 2, 1950, in Toronto, Canada, he began his environmental activism as a teenager, joining the Sierra Club protest against nuclear testing in 1969 and later crewing for Greenpeace in 1971.
