Yavuz Bingöl

Biography

Yavuz Bingöl is a Turkish folk music artist and actor, born in Istanbul in 1964 to a family of musicians. He studied at the Ankara State Conservatory, influenced by his mother, before leaving to support his family after his parents' divorce. He returned to music in 1983 and founded the protest band Atmacalar, releasing his first solo album in 1995, before gaining recognition in Turkish television with roles in miniseries like Bayanlar Baylar and film appearances in 2008's successful Üç Maymun.
