Gila Almagor

Biography

Gila Almagor Agmon was born in Petah Tikva to Jewish emigrant parents from Europe and grew up caring for her mother, who struggled with the trauma of the Holocaust. She debuted at 17 in a Habima production of The Skin of Our Teeth and went on to star in films based on her autobiographical books Summer of Aviya and Under the Domim Tree.
