Biography

Traudl Junge was a German editor who served as Adolf Hitler's last private secretary from December 1942 to April 1945, remaining in the Berlin Führerbunker until his death. After the war, she was interrogated by both Soviet and US militaries before working as a secretary in post-war West Germany. In her old age, Junge published her memoirs, claiming ignorance of Nazi atrocities and blaming herself for missing opportunities to investigate reports about them.
