Martin Gore

Biography

Martin Lee Gore (born July 23, 1961) is a British musician and songwriter, founding member of Depeche Mode and its primary composer. He has written the vast majority of their songs and occasionally provides lead vocals, showcasing his versatile tenor singing voice. Gore received the Ivor Novello Award in 1999 for "International Achievement" and the Moog Innovation Award in 2019 for his contributions to popular music.
