Katharine Blake

Biography

Katharine Blake was a British actress born in South Africa, known for her work on stage and screen. She won the BAFTA for Best Actress in 1964 for her television performances, and portrayed Elizabeth Boleyn in the film Anne of the Thousand Days (1969). Blake's portrayal of Chris Nourse in Public Eye and Within These Walls showcased a pioneering exploration of lesbian love affairs on UK television in the late 1960s.
