John Edward Ince Jr., known professionally as John Ince, was an American actor and film director, born on August 29, 1878, in New York City. He began his career in theater, joining the Grand Opera House stock company in Boston in 1895, before transitioning to directing from 1915-1928. As a leading man, he also appeared as a character actor in early talkies, including "Texas Terror" (1935).
