Biography

Vincent Scotto was a French composer born on April 21, 1874, in Marseille to Pasquale Scotto d'Aniello and Antonia Intartaglia from the island of Procida. He began his career in 1906 and went on to write over 4,000 songs and 60 operettas, collaborating with filmmaker Marcel Pagnol on numerous film projects. A biographical TV film about his life was released in 1973, cementing his legacy as a prolific composer and occasional actor.
