Biography

Virgil Charles Frye was a Golden Gloves boxing champion who became an actor, making notable appearances in films like "The Hot Spot" and "Revenge of the Ninja." He also directed his own acting school in the Hollywood Hills and fathered children Sean and Soleil Moon Frye. Suffering from Pick's Disease or Frontotemporal dementia, Frye was the subject of the documentary Sonny Boy.
