Ronald Grant Taylor was a versatile actor born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, who transitioned from professional boxing to a career in film and television. Notable roles include his lead part in the 1940 Australian film Forty Thousand Horsemen, as well as iconic appearances as Police Sergeant Ellis in "Quatermass and the Pit" (1967) and Constable Macey in "Four Desperate Men" (1959).
