Jaume Miravitlles

Biography

Jaume Miravitlles i Navarra was a multifaceted Catalan figure, whose early life and work are marked by his involvement in the surrealist movement. As an acquaintance of Salvador Dalí, he appeared alongside him in the 1929 film "Un Chien Andalou," playing the role of a priest. A writer, politician, and journalist, Miravitlles also served as Commissary for Propaganda of the Catalan Government during the Spanish Civil War.
