Molly Lamont

Biography

Molly Lamont was a South African-British film actress born Margorie Edith Lamont on May 22, 1910. She began her career in British films in the 1930s, gradually improving her roles and moving to Hollywood where she landed notable parts in "The Awful Truth" (1937) and "The White Cliffs of Dover" (1944). She retired from acting in 1951 after over 50 film credits.
