Frederick John Inman was an English actor and singer born on June 28, 1935, in Preston, Lancashire. He gained fame for his role as Mr. Humphries in the British sitcom Are You Being Served? (1972-1985), which led to him being named BBC TV Personality of the Year in 1976. Inman was also a well-known pantomime dame and a character actor in the United Kingdom, known for his comedic performances.
