Ron Kauk

Biography

Ron Kauk is an American professional climber born on September 23, 1957, in Redwood City, California. He began climbing at age 14 and became a pioneer of rock climbing, living among the "Stonemasters" group in Camp 4, Yosemite National Park. In 1975, he made the first free ascent of Astroman with John Long and John Bachar, followed by notable ascents such as Separate Reality, Midnight Lightning, and the North American Wall.
