Maja Wodecka is a Polish actress and translator born on April 10, 1946. She studied psychology at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków before settling in France in the 1970s to pursue an acting career. In addition to her work in film, she has translated poetry by her husband Adam Zagajewski and other American poets, including C.K. Williams and Edward Hirsch, earning a prestigious award along the way.
