Bryce Dessner

Biography

Bryce David Dessner is an American composer and guitarist born on April 23, 1976. As a member of the indie rock band The National with his twin brother Aaron, he collaborates on music with lead singer Matt Berninger. Additionally, Dessner has composed works for prominent orchestras, chamber ensembles, and artists such as Philip Glass and Ryuichi Sakamoto. His music has been recognized with awards including the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Small Ensemble Performance.
