Stanislav Grof

Biography

Stanislav Grof is a Czech-born American psychiatrist and principal developer of transpersonal psychology. Born in Prague in 1931, he conducted groundbreaking research on the clinical uses of psychedelic substances at the Psychiatric Research Institute in Prague. His work explored the therapeutic potential of LSD and other psychedelics, leading to a deeper understanding of non-ordinary states of consciousness and their applications for psychological healing.
