Yim Pil-sung is a South Korean film director and screenwriter born on May 13, 1972. He made his feature film debut with Antarctic Journal (2005), a gripping tale of six explorers on an expedition to the South Pole, starring Song Kang-ho and Yoo Ji-tae. His subsequent works include the dark fantasy Hansel and Gretel (2007) and the 2014 film Scarlet Innocence. Yim's direction has garnered recognition in notable film festivals.
