Biography

Charles "Chuck" Reisner was a prolific American film director and actor of the 1920s and 1930s. Notable highlights include starring alongside Charlie Chaplin in A Dog's Life (1918) and The Kid (1921), as well as directing Buster Keaton in Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928). Reisner also directed MGM musicals Chasing Rainbows (1930) and The Big Store (1941), including the Marx Brothers' last film for the studio.
