Gerry Conlon
Biography
Gerard Patrick Conlon was born in Belfast to a factory worker father and hospital cleaner mother. At 20, he moved to London to escape Belfast's violence and was wrongly convicted of the Guildford pub bombings alongside three others. The four were sentenced to life in prison after a trial marred by judicial error. Released on the "Dirty Protest" in 1991, Conlon spent the next 15 years fighting for justice until his death in 2014.
