Deborah Allen is a country music singer and songwriter, born Deborah Lynn Thurmond on September 30, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee. She began her music career at 19, moving to Nashville to pursue her dreams, and has since released 12 albums and charted 14 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Allen has written hit songs for herself and other notable country artists, including crossover hit "Baby I Lied".
