Vaginal Davis

Biography

Vaginal Davis is an American performing artist and writer born in Los Angeles, California. Raised in South Central LA by a Black Creole mother and multiethnic parents, she was accepted into a gifted students program at age seven, where she developed a love of theater and opera. As a young child, Davis witnessed her mother's community activism and gardening projects in vacant lots, shaping her early life experiences.
