Enrique Irazoqui
Biography
Enrique Irazoqui was a Spanish actor and computer chess expert who gained recognition for his roles in Pier Paolo Pasolini's "The Gospel According to St. Matthew" (1964) and José María Nunes' "Noche de vino tinto" (1967). A native of Barcelona, born to a Spanish father and Italian Jewish mother, he was awarded the Honorary Citizenship of Matera, Italy, in 2011. Irazoqui's expertise extended beyond acting, as evident in his role as arbiter in the 2002 Brains in Bahrain chess match against Vladimir Kramnik and Deep Fritz.
