Biography

Peter Ronson, born Pétur Rögnvaldsson, was an Icelandic-born athlete and actor who competed in the 110 metres hurdles at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He also appeared in the 1959 film adaptation of Journey to the Center of the Earth, playing Hans Bjelke and serving as a technical adviser. A father of seven children, Ronson passed away in Orange County, California in 2007 due to natural causes.
