Biography

Nick Sandow is a character actor and writer best known for his role as Joe Caputo in the Netflix comedy-drama series Orange Is the New Black (2013–2019). Born of Italian descent on August 3, 1966, he studied acting under William Esper Studio before transitioning to TV roles. He has also directed several theater productions, including Dark Yellow and Ponies, a 2011 immigrant drama film.
