Tré Cool, born Frank Edwin Wright III on December 9, 1972, is a German-American musician and songwriter best known as the long-time drummer for rock band Green Day. He replaced the band's former drummer John Kiffmeyer in 1990. Cool also played in various side projects, including The Network and the Foxboro Hot Tubs, showcasing his versatility behind the drums.
