Biography
Leonid Yengibarov was a Soviet Armenian clown and actor born in Moscow on March 15, 1935. He transitioned from boxing to the State School of Circus Art, where he developed skills in juggling, acrobatics, and hand balancing. As one of the first Soviet clowns to adopt poetic and intellectual approaches, Yengibarov revolutionized traditional clownery with a focus on sad, introspective humor, eventually bringing his unique style to film.
