Biography

Boris Shcherbakov was born on December 11, 1949, in Vasilyevsky Island, Leningrad, to a working-class family. At age 12, he landed his first film role in the children's adventure film Mandate, and later graduated from high school in 1967. He pursued a career in theater, eventually moving to Moscow to study at the prestigious Moscow Art Theatre School, where he was accepted by Pavel Massalsky himself.
