Biography

Mamie Van Doren was a blonde bombshell of the 1950s, one of the "Three M's" alongside Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield. In 1953, she signed a seven-year contract with Universal, hoping to be their version of Monroe, and went on to star in teen dramas, exploitation films, and musicals that have become cult classics. A sex symbol of her era, Van Doren was discovered by Howard Hughes while working as Miss Eight Ball, leading to roles in RKO films.
