Dan Haggerty

Biography

Daniel Francis Haggerty was born on November 19, 1942, in Pound, Wisconsin, and later moved to Burbank, California with his father after his parents' separation at age three. He began acting in small roles, including a stuntman on Tarzan (1966) and supporting parts in low-budget films of the era. Haggerty's breakout role came as Grizzly Adams in The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams (1974-1978), cementing his status as an American actor.
