Joseph Buloff

Biography

Joseph Buloff was a Jewish actor and director who debuted on stage with the Jewish State Theatre in Vilna, achieving his first major success with the troupe's production of S. Ansky's "Day and Night". He later immigrated to the United States and joined Maurice Schwartz's Yiddish theatre company, touring Europe and the Western Hemisphere with his wife Luba Kadison. Buloff received the Itzik Manger Prize in 1974 for his contributions to Yiddish letters.
