John Merivale

Biography

John Herman Merivale was a Canadian-born British theatre actor and occasional film supporting player, born on December 1, 1917, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He began his acting career at age 15 and later served as a pilot during World War II before resuming his stage work in 1946. Notable roles include Maj. Sylvester Pennington Sloane in "Arabesque" (1966) and Dr. John Fielding in "Caltiki, the Immortal Monster" (1959).
