Sari Maritza

Biography

Sari Maritza, born Dora Patricia Nathan in 1910, was a British film actress of the early 1930s. She gained notoriety for dancing a tango with Charles Chaplin at the premiere of City Lights in 1931 and appeared in several films, including International House. Despite being cast as an exotic European vamp, Maritza had lived most of her life in Britain and later retired in 1934 after her marriage.
