A land dispute threatens to halt progress at Keri and Carolyn's borgo in Italy, while in Spain, Lucy and Tom uncover more of their village's past and face big decisions about its future. In the Asturias mountains, buildings in Mike's former farming settlement receive a 21st-century upgrade.
In Spain, work begins to transform Lucy and Tom's old wine press barn into holiday accommodation. Disaster strikes at Mike's village in the Asturias mountains, while in France, Dan begins restoring his château's basement. Keri and Carolyn's plans to revive their Italian borgo hangs by a thread.
