A young boy with a birthmark on his left eye is locked in a dark room by his stepfather and later appears to be missing, only for him to reappear to kill his family members before being sent away 12 years later. A group of friends visit an abandoned hotel in Jotunheimen National Park, where they are stalked and killed by a hulking killer through the Norwegian woods. The film follows their desperate attempts to survive as they try to outsmart the killer.
