"Meet Jo Lee-Haywood, a mysterious southern mother defending her family and business from the wrath of a short-tempered mobster and his protection racket in this low-budget, high-octane neo-noir thriller. With a dash of pulp and spaghetti western influences, "Pickings" is a wildly entertaining crime drama that pays homage to its genre-bending predecessors while forging its own path. Usher Morgan's feature film debut is a testament to the power of passion and creativity in storytelling, with standout performances from Elyse Price and Katie Vincent at its core."
