Appointment with Death

A 1988 American mystery film starring Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot, in which Emily Boynton, a stepmother to three children, blackmails her family's lawyer into destroying her late husband's second will that would have freed the children from her controlling presence. She takes herself and her family on holiday to Europe, where Poirot investigates after Emily is found dead at an archaeological dig, revealing a web of deceit, murder, and secrets among the family and their acquaintances.
