Antwone Fisher

A young man's violent outbursts are a symptom of his dark past: one marked by child abuse, abandonment, and trauma at the hands of those who were supposed to love him. With the guidance of a psychiatrist, Jerome Davenport, played by Denzel Washington, he begins to confront the painful memories and search for a family he never knew. As Antwone Fisher (Derek Luke) slowly unravels his tangled web of emotions, he finds hope in the unlikeliest of places: with his doctor, who ultimately helps him uncover the truth about his past and find closure.
