Thunder Road

Robert Mitchum stars as Lucas "Luke" Doolin, a Korean War veteran and moonshine runner who must fight to protect his family business from out-of-town gangster Jacques Aubuchon's attempts to muscle in on their operations. The film follows Luke's struggles against Treasury agent Gene Barry and Memphis mob boss Carl Kogan, as he navigates his complicated relationships with his younger brother Robin (played by James Mitchum) and nightclub singer Francie Wymore (played by Keely Smith).
