Election

Jim McAllister (Matthew Broderick), a popular high school social studies teacher, meets his match in Tracy Flick (Reese Witherspoon), a high-achieving student politician who runs for president of her Omaha high school student body. Jim attempts to sabotage Tracy's candidacy by encouraging a rival candidate, Paul Metzler, a jock who finds Tracy irritating. The film is a satirical black comedy that explores the cutthroat world of high school politics and the complexities of ambition, morality, and trust.
