A documentary crew travels back to the scene of the tragedy at "Hell House" five years after 15 tour-goers and staff died on its opening night, a Halloween haunted house attraction in Abaddon, New York. The crew, consisting of leader Diane Graves, cameraman Jonathan Miller, and editor Mitchell Cavanaugh, tracks down Sara Havel, the sole surviving Hell House staff member, who provides them with behind-the-scenes footage documenting the company's arrival at the dilapidated Hotel Abaddon.
