In 1983 Buenos Aires, a high school history teacher named Alicia begins to ask uncomfortable questions about the dark origins of her adopted daughter Gaby, who may be connected to one of Argentina's disappeared children during the turbulent days of the military dictatorship. As Alicia digs deeper, she uncovers the disturbing truth and confronts her husband Roberto, forcing them to reevaluate their privileged existence and the secrets they've kept from each other. The film is a powerful exploration of family secrets, social justice, and the human cost of state-sponsored terrorism in Argentina's last years under military rule.
