Teenage friends Kit (Sara Lane) and Libby (Andi Garrett) make prank phone calls for fun, but their evening takes a sinister turn when they call up Steve Marak (John Ireland), a man who has just murdered his wife. Joan Crawford plays Amy Nelson, Marak's neighbor who becomes entangled in the girls' misadventure.
