Empire Records

The employees of Empire Records, a 24-hour independent music store, band together to try and stop it from being sold to a large chain after discovering the store's owner is planning to sell. As they work together to come up with a plan to save their beloved store, they learn more about each other and themselves. Character A.J. (Johnny Whitworth) plays a meaningful role as he tries to confess his love to Corey Mason (Liv Tyler), who rejects him at the last minute. Meanwhile, Gina (Renée Zellweger) has a secret encounter with the pop idol Rex Manning, which leads to some awkward moments for the staff.
