Ashes in the Snow is a 2018 war drama film based on Ruta Sepetys' novel Between Shades of Gray. The coming-of-age tale follows Lina Vilkas (Bel Powley), a 16-year-old Lithuanian girl deported to Siberia with her mother Elena (Lisa Loven Kongsli) and younger brother Jonas during Stalin's reign of terror in the Baltic region during WWII.
